Scratch Kitchen
We are a family run business, consisting of me, Sean (Chef), my wife, Joanna (Marketing and Sales Director), and our sons - the Chief Tasters.
Having kids made me appreciate how important it is to establish good habits and routines, which includes serving healthy foods. Given our hectic schedules, not only did serving healthy meals demand discipline on our part, but I also found it challenging to prepare natural, wholesome foods that I felt proud to serve my children – and I am a chef!
Another obstacle we found with having young kids was the logistics of buying and preparing the ingredients for our meals. I would often squeeze my grocery shopping trips into the wee hours of the night after the kids were put to bed. So… out of these challenges was born the Scratch Kitchen, where we cook, freeze and deliver healthy foods right to your door!
At Scratch Kitchen, we prepare all of your meals in small batches out of a commercial, health-inspected kitchen. We use locally sourced and, organic ingredients whenever possible and we don’t add any preservatives, or additives, and we go easy on the salt. Our menu includes vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. We planned the menu for the global “foodie”, but we also saved some comfort foods for those days when you just want some down home cooking.
Scratch Kitchen meals aren’t just for time-strapped families. Individuals from all walks of life, from older family members who may not have the means to prepare good meals for themselves, to work-hard, play-hard singles who don’t have the time to cook yet want to eat well, will appreciate our single portion servings.
So whether you’re a harried parent (like me), an empty-nester, or a person on-the-go, invite us into your home for a healthy, satisfying meal!
